Sudoku Variations

Different Sizes, More Complex Regions, Different Clues to the Solution

If you like to spice up your Sudoku with Multi-Grid Variations, why not try some of the other ways people have tried to expand on the original.

One of the obvious variations is size. Typical options include 6x6, 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, 15x15 and 16x16. Then there are the variations with additional regions that also require only one each of the numbers, such as Sudoku X, Argyle Sudoku, Windoku, Girandola, Asterisk Sudoku and Centre Dot.

There are many other variations too, such as those that place numbers outside of the grid as a method of solving the grid, such as Skyscraper Sudoku. And those with irregular regions such as Killer Sudoku and Jigsaw Sudoku. Here is a list of the other variations we know about: Godoku, Sudoku-DG, Anti-Knight Sudoku, Anti-King Sudoku, Anti Diagonal Sudoku, Greater Than Sudoku, Even-Odd Sudoku, Consecutive Sudoku, Non-Consecutive Sudoku, Kropki Sudoku, Sukaku, Chain Sudoku, Frame Sudoku, Tripod Sudoku, Sudoku Mine, Sujiken, Sudoku XV, Outside Sudoku, Rossini Sudoku, Little Killer Sudoku, Little Unique Killer Sudoku, Vudoku, and Sandwich Sudoku.

We will bring you all of these in time. Here are the ones we have so far.
